Earth

Hello Boys and Girls,

Today is a very special day for every single person and living creature on the planet: today is Earth Day. On Earth Day, many cities and communities around the world get together to celebrate the Earth. The purpose of Earth Day is to remember how lucky we are to have inherited such a wonderful place to live and to remind each other that we have a responsibility to take care of it.

At the North Pole, we make every effort possible to make sure that we are not hurting the planet. For example, we all make sure to turn off all lights when we are not using them and we save water by taking quick 5-minute showers. Also, we recycle absolutely everything we can and even have a compost heap where we turn left over vegetable scraps into fresh dirt for our garden. To learn more about what YOU can do protect the planet, click here and here.

I’d like to hear your ideas about Earth Day and what you and your family are doing to protect the Earth. Every little action that you take can help the Earth. Together, we can make make a difference.

Love,
